As “Queen Mab”
Here is the original cast recording of my award-winning first solo show, “International Man of Mystery.” I’m singing and playing vibraphone (a big metal xylophone with a damper pedal) and pandeiro (a Brazilian tambourine that wants to be a drum set). Ernesto Garcia, Jr. engineered and produced this at Foxtail Studios in Escondido, California.
Here is my EP, “What You Know,” which was released in October 2017. The image below will take you to iTunes; it’s also available on Spotify, Amazon, and Soundcloud. I performed all lead vocals, drums, and percussion. Cathryn Beeks and Nisha Catron recorded backing vocals on “My Shrink.” Ernesto Garcia, Jr. engineered, produced, and played guitar and bass.
As “Gberá”
Here is a single I recorded with the brilliant singer and performance artist Edoheart in 2010. It’s an avant garde remix of Shchedryk, a Ukrainian New Year’s song. It’s usually performed in English as “Carol of the Bells,” but Edoheart sang it in the original Ukrainian!
This video was my first collaboration with Edoheart, a remix of the poem “hist whist” by e. e. cummings. She made the video and recorded the vocals, and I recorded the percussion.
There is only one way to get the remaining four tracks I released as “Gbera” – including “¡No Te Quejes!” You must sign up for my newsletter. 😈 Muahahaha! 😈 (See the popup form on my home page, or scroll up and sign up using the right hand side bar).
