It’s TUCSON FRINGE time!! And while I’m excited to be participating in the festival virtually this year with my new Zoom-sical “Thank You! It’s True,” it’s a drag not to be there in person so that I can see everyone else’s shows. In order to make up for that, I decided to do interviews with other Tucson Fringe artists. Here’s my interview with Matt Denney, who is premiering his FIRST ever solo show, “Matt-chong: A Swagapino’s Search for Identity.” We sat down to discuss Matt’s creative process for the show, his career as a theater artist and educator, his advice for how to be more inclusive as educators, and of course…the definition of Swagapino!
