I discovered yesterday that I will be performing my one-woman musical comedy show International Man of Mystery as part of San Diego Fringe Festival 2018, which will be held from June 21 – July 1.

The plan is for the show to involve songs from the YouTube playlist below with bits of narrative in-between. To be honest, there are still a few songs on this subject I’d like to write…one about wanting to run away to Uruguay, one based on Alanna Massey’s brilliant article about how dick is abundant and low value, and one from the point of view of the International Man of Mystery himself.

I haven’t been writing much lately because I was working on another major project…so here’s hoping I can eke out some time in the next few weeks. I probably already have enough songs to fill the fifty minute Fringe show time if I just use what I’ve already written, but I’d really like to complete the story with my three remaining ideas. Then I’m going to need to make my arrangements sound full with just vibraphone and a pandeiro with a loop pedal…and figure out whether or not I need a PA…and write the parts in between…

Bottom line: there is so much to do…but it is going to be so much fun! I hope to see you there!
