I finally got invited to the SD Voyager party! Here’s a link to my interview. I did some scary things, like include my middle name (it’s Gray. Cue jokes about “50 Shades Of.” Or in elementary school, it was always “Cats in the Gray Barn.” I don’t love it, but I’m honestly glad it’s not Marie!) I also talked about being autistic. Although I’ve been “out” already on YouTube and Instagram for awhile, it’s scary to say this in an article that may get more attention than any of my other posts on the subject. It’s still important to me to talk about it, though, because if Jolene Stockman hadn’t talked about her diagnosis in her TED Talk, I would still think I was a human piece of crap. I wish for my story to help others who might need to hear it.
