Here is the transcription of my most recent video blog:

(And here’s the audio on AnchorFM)

Hey everybody, it’s Queen Mab. I’m kind of mysterious in the dark here, ‘cuz I’m talking to you in my car so that the people I live with don’t hear every single thing I say. Oh, the joys of communal living!

But anyway, I wanted to talk to you about my show on Tuesday night. I had so much fun. There were 5 people who came in person and 38 people who tuned in online, and those numbers are a lot bigger than I was expecting, because I don’t think I was super aggressive in my promotion of this, and I certainly didn’t send any individual messages, which is like…oh, one of my least favorite things to do. But 38 people came! And that’s a really, really huge deal. So I don’t know who they all are, but I wanted to say THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, for taking the time to watch my show about the very awkward and uncomfortable topic of consent.

Now, let me tell you one of my favorite things about Tuesday night. There was this gal who stuck around afterwards to talk to me, and she told me that she came to see the show because of what it was about. WOW! That just…really touched my heart. Because I didn’t know there were people who would want to see a show about consent! So how cool is that?

The other things that I’m really grateful for are first of all, there was hardly any traffic up and back, so that was really great. I went for a really nice walk in that park that sort of goes along the cliffs there in Santa Monica. I think it’s called Palisades Park, which is weird, ‘cuz I thought that was in New Jersey…but I guess it’s also in Santa Monica. Anyway, so that was a really nice walk before my show. And there was another thing I wanted to say…OH! The Santa Monica Playhouse gave me water. They seriously gave me water. I didn’t have to go to the gas station to buy it. Thank you, Santa Monica Playhouse! You guys are awesome.

So anyway, the next show that I’m gonna be doing is gonna be brand new! I’m in the process of writing it. And that’s gonna be virtual as part of Tucson Fringe in January, so get ready to be told about that. And thank you again, everybody who came to see the show…everybody who’s been commenting on my crazy video blog posts…I really, really appreciate you, and I hope I see you at my next show in January. Bye!

Thank you for coming to my show!
